Maplewood

The original Maplewood Cemetery was called New Lenox Cemetery. The first burial area was a private plot for the Francis Family. A wrought iron fence bordered the graveyard along Haven Avenue and Oak Drive. There were eight sections which provided additional space for more burials as the town grew.

Today Maplewood is 2.5 acres in size. The Francis Family plot also has a large monument. Many residents living in the homes along Haven Avenue were buried in Maplewood.
