Senior Housing

The Guy Sell Senior Housing Building, located at 1090 S. Cedar Road, comprises six two-bedroom and 18 one-bedroom apartments. Applications for the waiting list are taken at the Township Offices located at 1100 S. Cedar Road. Applicants must be at least 62 years of age, a New Lenox Township resident at the time of the application, and when a vacancy becomes available. You must be able to live independently. The 2800 sq ft Community Room provides additional space for civic gatherings. Thanks to the New Lenox Lions Club, a kitchen was added several years ago. Through a cooperative agreement with our Park District, the Community Room is a satellite facility for senior recreation, exercise, and social enrichment programs. To inquire about using our Community Room, please call the Township. 

Senior Nutrition Program

New Lenox Township and the Community Nutrition Network sponsor the New Lenox Township "Meals on Wheels" program. We provide:

• Home-delivered meals to home-bound residents of New Lenox Township over the age of 60
• Must meet the assessment needs of the Community Nutrition Network's Case Coordination Unit. For information on registering for Meals on Wheels, please call 815 726-0094.
